Description: (25) Girls Inc. girls participate in The First Tee of Santa Barbara learning golf skills and life skills. One group of girls from the Girls Inc. Santa Barbara Center and one group of girls from the Girls Inc. Goleta Center come together for golf, fun and learning!
Ages: 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
When: To Be Announced
Where: The practice facilities at the beautiful Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Goals: Mutual ideals are shared by these three wonderful organizations for positive youth development!
- The First Tee's Code of Conduct: Respect for Myself, Respect for Others, and Respect for Surroundings and their (9) Core Values of Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgement are all delivered in this program uniting golf skills and life skills.
- Girls Inc.'s Mission: "Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart and bold" and providing girls with life skills through diverse activities.
- Santa Barbara Golf Club's committed support of youth golf and the Santa Barbara community make this all possible providing the perfect venue for learning all that this program has to offer.
